Is Suntex a manufacturer or a trading company?

Suntex is a direct manufacturer. Suntex Sports-Turf Corporation is a Taiwanese-invested factory producing artificial turf since March 2002. Our parent company, RiThai International, has produced nylon monofilament in Taipei since 1977.

Which yarn materials do you use?

We have been an authorized distributor of TenCate turf yarn since 2002 and draw on our parent group's experience with PE, PP, PA and PET materials, so yarn can be matched to UV exposure, traffic level and budget.

Can you provide PFAS-free and safety test reports?

Why is polyurethane (PU) backing superior to latex for dog turf applications?

Standard SBR latex backing contains calcium carbonate fillers that absorb canine urine salts, resulting in persistent ammonia odors even after intensive washing. Furthermore, pet urine acids break down latex over time. Polyurethane (PU) backing is entirely non-porous, chemically non-reactive, and does not absorb fluids, enabling complete wash-through and a product lifespan 2 to 3 times longer in high-use pet facilities.

What is the optimal pile height and density for canine facilities?

For residential gardens, 28 mm to 35 mm provides an attractive natural appearance. However, for commercial dog daycares, boarding kennels, and municipal dog runs, our engineers strongly recommend a 20 mm to 28 mm pile height with a high stitch density (18,900 to 23,000 stitches/m²). Shorter, denser piles make solid waste removal immediate, prevent waste from lodging deep in the yarn, and simplify high-speed sanitation.

Can dogs pull out the yarn through aggressive digging or scratching?

Our tufting lines maintain a tuft bind pull-strength exceeding 50 Newtons (well above international requirements). Combined with our high-strength lock backing and the inclusion of dense curled Polypropylene thatch layers that support the monofilament root, claws cannot easily dislodge or fray the yarn fibers under typical commercial pet traffic.
